In San Francisco, Thai restaurant Saap Ver’s owner, Kobe Aukcarapasutanun, expressed frustration after a group of thieves burglarized his establishment. The thieves, failing to enter through the locked front door, smashed a large window to gain entry. They stole a register and a safe, leaving the office in disarray. Aukcarapasutanun, awakened by a call from his staff around 5 AM, described the incident as a coordinated attack by a gang, captured on video. This burglary adds to the safety concerns for businesses in an already expensive city. Nearby, Vaulins Taproom also experienced a similar early morning burglary. No arrests have been made yet, and investigations are ongoing. The connection between the two incidents remains unclear.
This is insane. Design District has been one of the safest areas with an up and coming restaurant scene. And Saap Ver’s one of our favorite Thai restaurants in Bay Area.
