I’m excited over this!
Jollibee, the popular Filipino fast food chain, is on the verge of opening its new outlet in downtown San Francisco. After a three-year wait, the 7,400-square-foot space at 934 Market St., previously a Payless store, is showing signs of life. Recent permits and job postings hint at an imminent opening. This location, near the Powell Street BART station, could rejuvenate Market Street with its famous crispy fried chicken and peach-mango pies.
Jollibee’s expansion in the U.S. started in Daly City in 1998. While it has multiple locations in the Bay Area, this will mark its return to San Francisco since its 4th St. closure in 2011. With over 1,500 stores worldwide, Jollibee’s Market Street opening is a story to watch.
